The Hon. Secretary General of PERKIM Urged PERKIM’s Staff to Intensify Their Worship During Ramadan

KUALA LUMPUR, 7 MARCH 2024 – The officers and staff of PERKIM gathered at Dataran Dakwah for their monthly meeting with the Honarary Secretary General of PERKIM, YBhg Tan Sri Dr Mohd Yusof Noor.

Included were those stationed at International Da’wah Institute of PERKIM Kuala Lumpur (IDIP-KL) and Stroke Community Rehabilitation Center (SCORE) PERKIM.

As usual, the assembly began with the singing of “Negara Ku” and “PERKIM Pacu Kemajuan”.  Ustaz Farhan Tee Abdullah was the emcee and Ustaz Abdul Qawi Navine Abdullah read the morning prayer du’a.

Tan Sri Yusof Noor praised Ustaz Qawi for his ability to lead the prayer in Arabic, in Bahasa Melayu and in English.

He said, in the future, he hoped PERKIM will be able to offer prayers in several languages including Mandarin and Tamil.

This would be in line with the aspiration of PERKIM’s Founder, the late Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, who dreamed of uniting the many races through one belief.

Tan Sri urged everyone to pray for their families as well as for the institution they work for – PERKIM.

That was the month to intensify reading of the Quran, perform good deeds, avoid internal differences and pray for blessings from the Almighty and zealously work towards success to overcome financial problems as well as to preserve the good name of this institution.

Everyone should pray for a better year ahead and that PERKIM could overcome its financial woes.

At the close of the meeting, Tan Sri Yusof Noor presented everyone with a box of dates, a sign of good wishes for the month of Ramadhan.
