Happy 66th PERKIM Day

Muslim Welfare Organisation Malaysia (PERKIM) extends its heartfelt greetings and warmest wishes on the occasion of the 66th PERKIM Day to all members of its workforce, top leadership, PERKIM State Divisions, and branches throughout the nation.

The establishment of PERKIM was the visionary initiative of its Founder, the late YTM Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj, whose leadership became a pivotal foundation in advancing dakwah, welfare, and the unity of the ummah in Malaysia.

Throughout its 66 years of existence, PERKIM has remained steadfast in its mission to strengthen the faith (aqidah), provide guidance and support to new Muslims (mualaf) and implement various welfare initiatives for the well-being of the Muslim community.

The date 8 February 1903 holds great historical significance for PERKIM, as it marks the birth anniversary of YTM Almarhum Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj. This date has been officially recognised by the PERKIM National Council as PERKIM Day, although 19 August 1960 remains the actual date of PERKIM’s establishment.

The celebration of the 66th PERKIM Day on 8 February 2026, corresponding to 20 Sha‘ban 1447H, serves as an important platform for all members of PERKIM to reflect, honour the legacy of its founder and renew their commitment to continuing the noble mission of da’wah and welfare based on the comprehensive and inclusive values of Islam.

PERKIM expresses its deepest appreciation and gratitude to all leaders, members, volunteers and supporters who have continuously demonstrated unwavering dedication in upholding the mission and aspirations of this organisation.

May PERKIM continue to be preserved and blessed by Allah SWT and remain relevant as a leading platform for da’wah and the welfare of the ummah in Malaysia.

Happy 66th PERKIM Day
