PERKIM Attends Tadika Inovasi Cerdik Graduation, Pays Courtesy Visit to Widow of Former PERKIM Perak Da’wah Officer

SUNGAI SIPUT – The Muslim Welfare Organisation Malaysia (PERKIM) National continues to strengthen goodwill and harmonious cooperation within Malaysia’s multi-ethnic society through its participation as a special guest at the 12th Graduation Ceremony of Tadika Inovasi Cerdik, held recently at Dewan V. Meenachi Sundram, Ladang Sungai Krudda, here.

PERKIM National’s presence at the event was the outcome of strong ties forged following the Multiracial Indian Community Goodwill Visit Programme at Estet Kampung Padang Krudda on Oct 17, 2025. The programme was implemented through dakwah bil hal (outreach through action) and sustained engagement with the local community.

The earlier initiative not only succeeded in fostering closer ties, but also opened avenues for positive cooperation between PERKIM National and the local community. This goodwill culminated in an invitation extended by the Estet Kampung Padang Krudda community for PERKIM National to attend the prestigious early childhood education event as an honoured guest.

In response to the invitation, PERKIM National dispatched a four-member delegation led by Da’wah Executive II, Ustaz Muhammad Jais Mariappan Abdullah, accompanied by Rohaiiza Mohd Tan, Fatin Akmal Aksah and Mohd Fardly Johan.

Also present were representatives from PERKIM Perak State Division, Hani Waran G Ratnasamy, and the chairman of the Perak Islamic Information Organisation (PIIN), Ustaz Mohamad Noor PK Osman.

The delegation arrived at Dewan V. Meenachi Sundram at about 5pm and was warmly welcomed by village head Pandian Krishnan together with local residents, in an atmosphere marked by goodwill and mutual respect.

The ceremony was hosted by the headmistress of Tadika Inovasi Cerdik, Thanalatchumi Suppayah, and commenced with a welcoming address by Pandian, who expressed his deepest appreciation for PERKIM National’s willingness to attend the event. He also acknowledged the organisation’s role in nurturing harmonious interfaith and intercultural relations within the multi-ethnic community.

As a gesture of appreciation and respect, Pandian presented flower garlands to Ustaz Jais Mariappan and Fatin Akmal Aksah, symbolising the community’s acceptance and the close relationship forged with PERKIM National.

At the same event, Ustaz Jais Mariappan Abdullah and Fatin Akmal were accorded the honour of presenting prizes and certificates to students of Tadika Inovasi Cerdik who had completed their studies, providing encouragement and motivation to both the children and their parents.

According to Ustaz Jais Mariappan, ceremonies of this nature not only celebrate children’s early achievements, but also serve as proof that education and universal human values can unite communities regardless of background. He added that PERKIM National deeply values the harmonious relationship established with the local community and hopes the collaboration will continue for the benefit of future generations.

The ceremony concluded with a group photography session involving educators, community leaders and residents of Estet Kampung Padang Krudda, marking a meaningful milestone and symbolising the success of cross-community cooperation.

The following day, the PERKIM National delegation continued its welfare agenda in Buntong, Ipoh, with a courtesy visit to the home of the family of the late Ustaz Haji Ali AC Din, a former PERKIM Perak State Dakwah officer who passed away on Dec 22, 2025.

The visit was held as a mark of appreciation for the late Ustaz Ali’s dedication, sacrifices and significant contributions in guiding and supporting converts to Islam in Perak throughout his service with PERKIM.

During the visit, PERKIM National also presented a financial contribution to help ease the burden of the bereaved family. The contribution was handed over by Ustaz Jais Mariappan, representing PERKIM Honorary Secretary-General, Datuk Dr Mohamad Marzuki Mohamad Omar, to the widow, Waha Mat Tais.

The welfare visit took place in a modest and family-oriented atmosphere and concluded with light refreshments prepared by the family, reflecting the spirit of brotherhood and compassion that continues to form the core of PERKIM National’s outreach and community engagement efforts.
