Students From the Faculty of Islamic Studies UKM Paid a Visit to PERKIM Headquarters
.KUALA LUMPUR, 24 NOVEMBER 2023 – The President of the UKM-PERKIM Club ,Muhammad Aiman Ismail revealed that their visit was intended to learn more about PERKIM, its Vision and Mission, the psychology of the new reverts and their activities.
Senior Director of Dakwah, PERKIM National, YBhg Dato’ Haji Razali Haji Shahbudin welcomed the five students from the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
Dato’ Razali went on to relate the history of the early establishment of PERKIM, its objectives and the leadership.
This led to the establishment of PERKIM Islamic Da’wah Institute Kota Bharu (IDIPKB) and International Da’wah Institute PERKIM Kuala Lumpur (IDIPKL) which are aimed to produce Islamic missionaries.
Classes for new and old reverts are held daily to acquaint them with the knowledge of Islam.
Academic and religious classes are also held for the Rohingya children.
There is also a hostel in Kuala Lumpur for the children of the Aborigines who qualify to further their studies in academics and religion.
PERKIM’s Da’wah and Human Development Unit Officers, Siti Munirah Sayed Mohd Hamdan enlightened them of the activities after each conversion i.e. visits to consult, advise and guidance, depending on the problems or conflicts experienced by the new reverts due to differenced in culture, work ethics, etc.
The event closed with the exchange of gifts between UKM and PERKIM.
