KUALA LUMPUR, 5 DESEMBER 2023 – 56 officers and support staff of PERKIM Headquarters & IDIP-KL (Institut Dakwah Antarabangsa Islam PERKIM), and Stroke Community Rehabilitation Centre (SCORE) were gathered at the Dataran Dakwah, Bangunan PERKIM on this Friday for their monthly gathering at Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah.
The event commenced with the staff singing “Negaraku” the National anthem and “PERKIM Pacu Kemajuan”.
Encik Muhammad Farhan Tee Abdullah, officer of the Dakwah and Human Development Unit (UPDI) was the emcee while Mr. Abdul Qawi Navine Abdullah, Assistant Dakwah Officer at IDIP-KL read the opening prayer.
PERKIM”s Honarary Secretary General, YBhg Tan Sri Dr Mohd Yusof Noor delivered his speech, in which he stated that we should be grateful to Allah SWT for allowing us to meet at the last meeting of the month and the year. The next meeting will be next year.
Dr Yusof Noor reminded the staff to be grateful for all the favours bestowed upon them by Allah. Allah’s favours are immeasurable as mentioned in Surah Luqman, Verse 27, which means “And if all the trees on the earth were pens and the ocean (were ink) with seven more seas to replenish it (as ink), the writing of Allah’s words could never be exhausted. Truly Allah is the Almighty, the All-Wise.”
Dr Yusof Noor added, Allah teaches us to be humble and not arrogant. Allah knows that human beings need to be reminded always, less he forgets. However, if man realizes his duties as Allah’s creation, he will have gratitude.
Dr Yusof Noor reminded everyone to spend wisely and sparingly, referring to Surah Ibrahim ayat 7 which means: ‘And (remember) when your Lord proclaimed “Indeed when you are grateful, I will bestow more upon you, and if you deny My favours, know that My punishment is terrible indeed”.
“This is the season when floods occur in Kelantan, Pahang and Terengganu, so let us pray for the people’s safety,” said Dr Yusof Noor at the conclusion of his address.
