MB Hopes IDIP PERKIM Continues to Expand the Teachings of Islam

KOTA BHARU, 8 JANUARY 2025 – The Chief Minister of Kelantan, YAB Dato’ Panglima Perang Mohd Nassuruddin Daud, today received a courtesy visit from the Director of Institut Dakwah Islamiah PERKIM (IDIP), Prof. Dr. Ramle Abdullah.

In an official Facebook post today, he expressed appreciation for the role played by IDIP, which focuses specifically on Islamic education for new converts (mualaf).

Furthermore, he stated that the institution under the Muslim Welfare Organisation Malaysia (PERKIM) has also produced competent da’ie from among new converts for the past four decades.

“IDIP plays a strategic role as the only educational institution in Malaysia that specializes in Islamic education for new converts and in producing preachers.

“Apart from providing religious guidance, IDIP also equips them with holistic life skills to ensure they can be self-reliant and contribute to society,” he said.

In addition, the State Assemblyman (ADUN) for Meranti also presented a contribution as a token of the state government’s support for IDIP’s efforts.

He stated that it is the commitment of the state government, through the Policy of Appreciation for Development in Accordance with Islam (PMBI), to fully support the work of preaching and religious education in today’s society.

According to him, he hopes that the institution will further strengthen its efforts to produce more preachers and expand the teachings of Islam in this region.

“This support reflects the state government’s continued commitment to empowering missionary institutions, which are the backbone of efforts to build a Rabbani community.

“It is our hope that this contribution will enhance IDIP’s capability to continue producing excellent preachers and, at the same time, intensify the spread of Islamic teachings,” he said.
