KUALA LUMPUR, 9 FEBRUARY 2024 – The Islamic Welfare Organisation of Malaysia (PERKIM) organised the “Halaqah Al-Quran” with reverts at the Dataran Dakwah, PERKIM Headquarters on Friday.
Ustazah Noor Suhaiza Chulan and six lady reverts of more than five years from the Academy Sohibul Quran led the event, in which thirty reverts of Chinese, Indian, Iban and Kadazan decent participated.
There were also citizens of the Philippines, Indonesia and Myanmar.
Noor Suhaiza had won the Quran Recitation Contest twice at the Wilayah Persekutuan state level – in 2015 and 2017.
She also sits on the panel of judges for the MaiNgaji TV AlHijrah.
In this event, she guided the participants in their pronunciation and enunciation of Arabic so as to improve their reading of the Quran and in saying their prayers.

Siti Munirah Sayed Mohd Hamdan, the Dakwah and Human Development Officer said that the programme was organised aimed at enhancing the new reverts’ learning and understanding of the Quran and strengthen their faith in Islam.
This would also help in enabling them to integrate with the community they live in.
The Director of Communications and Media, Mr Firdaus Lokman Tah and Wanita PERKIM Kebangsaan Officer Madam Fatin Hamizah Ismail were present at the meeting.
PERKIM Kebangsaan organized Halaqah Al-Quran with Mualaf recently.
