KUALA LUMPUR, APRIL 7, 2026 – Demonstrating its continued concern for the welfare of its members, Muslim Welfare Organisation Malaysia (PERKIM) National Administration Director, Dr Suariza @ Hidayah Muhammad accompanied by four staff members, paid a visit to the husband of PERKIM Stroke Community Rehabilitation Centre (SCORE) Executive, Dr Fatimah Imelda Abdullah at the Tunku Abdul Rahman Neuroscience Institute, Hospital Kuala Lumpur, earlier today.

According to Dr Fatimah Imelda, her husband, Ali Aman Marine, suffered a stroke on the second day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

The incident was first noticed by their daughter, who found that he had suddenly developed weakness on the right side of his body and was less responsive when called.

He was subsequently rushed to Hospital Kuala Lumpur by ambulance in an unconscious state and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for urgent treatment.

After several weeks, his condition stabilised and he was transferred to Ward 4A of the Neuroscience Institute for further care.

Medical authorities confirmed that Ali Aman Marine, 56, was diagnosed with a left basal ganglia bleed, a form of brain haemorrhage that affects movement and levels of consciousness.

He is a Laboratory Research Officer at the Institute for Medical Research (IMR), Kuala Lumpur.

Also present during the visit was PERKIM National Finance Executive, Mohd Aizat Rosli, who joined in offering prayers for the patient’s recovery and strength in facing the trial.

During the visit, Dr Suariza also handed over a cash contribution to Dr Fatimah Imelda as a gesture of support and concern from PERKIM towards the welfare of its staff during difficult times.

The contribution is hoped to help ease the burden of medical expenses and daily needs throughout her husband’s recovery period.

She also expressed hope that the patient’s family would remain steadfast and resilient in facing the испытание, while reaffirming PERKIM’s commitment to supporting its members in times of hardship.

The visit also served as a platform for da’wah and compassion, in line with Islamic principles that emphasise kindness, empathy and solidarity within the community.

The initiative clearly reflects the organisation’s strong sense of humanity and familial spirit, underscoring that PERKIM not only plays a role in da’wah but also places great importance on the welfare and well-being of its members.
