PERKIM condemns Western nations and media deceptive narrative on the crisis between Palestine and Israel
Muslim Welfare Organisation Malaysia (PERKIM) denounced the Western world’s deceptive narrative and outright lies perpetuated unashamedly through the media on the crisis between Palestine and Israel. The Western media reported the attack on Israel as an act of violence towards democracy and peace loving people.
For decades, the Israelis had been committing war crimes, massacres, genocide and many other atrocities against the Palestinians including innocent civilians, children, old people, women and many others.
For more than seven decades, the Palestinians have not known peace. Described as “the world’s largest open-air prison”, the Palestinians are pushed to the brink of death which have resulted in attempted sporadic retaliations. Israel has completely cut off all food supplies from Gaza. If not reversed, this decision sets Gaza on the path to mass starvation for all 2.3 million people living there.
In conjunction of PERKIM’s Executive Committee Meeting on 13th October, 2023, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, Chairman of PERKIM, described that Hamas group have no choice but to take unconventional steps to end Israeli aggression. The Palestinians have been colonized, murdered and assaulted without remorse by the Israeli.
“Palestinians have right to defend themselves against Israeli crimes and atrocities against the Palestinians. Palestinians in the occupied territories have been denied their human rights, to live in peace, to receive proper facilities and services, and to get good education”, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, Chairman of PERKIM.
PERKIM condemned the Western nations and their media hypocritical and biased response of Israel’s disregard and violation of international laws towards Palestinians and described the attacks on them as a retaliation towards Hamas militant group.
The fact is, the Palestinians have to bear continuous provocations and attacks form Israeli citizens and authorities. Any show of discontent by the Palestinians is crushed by the Israeli regime.
Therefore, PERKIM hopes for a global unity to stop Israel’s oppression of the Palestinians. The fight against Israeli regime’s atrocities needs to be conducted systematically and strategically in hopes to end Israeli long occupation, aggression and oppression.
