PERKIM Honours and Rewards Excellent Students of KPIPK

“Great efforts pay off literally”
Despite the ongoing pandemic and continuous restrictions of having a face to face Islamic studies classes, PERKIM’s students continue to strive above all odds in the spirit of seeking knowledge of Islam.
We are aware that online classes can be tough for both students and teachers. They have to overcome various challenges including, bad internet connection, limited available device and many more. However, despite all that, they still manage to push through in the name of seeking knowledge of Islam.
On 12th April 2021, PERKIM took the opportunity to celebrate and reward our excellent Islamic studies students during the PERKIM (KPIPK) Excellent Students Award Ceremony which was held in International Da’wah Institute PERKIM – Kuala Lumpur (IDIP-KL). The recipients received excellence award delivered by Honorary Secretary General of PERKIM, YBhg Tan Sri Dr Mohd Yusof Noor.
This award was also held to honour and appreciate teachers endless efforts in teaching our students despited the challenges. We applaud their effort in adapting to the new normal quickly as to not affect the productivity of their classes.
PERKIM’s Islamic Studies classes are not only attended by new Muslim converts, but there are also some who have yet recited Shahadah. Leow Shwu Lian, who have yet become Muslim, was awarded Best Student of KPIPK Pre-Basic 2020.
Leo Shwu Lian expressed her delight upon receiving the award. We can see her true passion in learning about Islam and her burning spirit of pushing through the boundaries and difficulties to strengthen her faith towards the Islam religion.
Thaqiq Tay Jet Lee was the runner-up while Thanaraja Hadi Venayagamoorthy and Tan Poh Choo both were awarded Excellence Award.
Muhammad Syafiq Muhammad Rahman was awarded Best Student of KPIPK Basic 2020, Ali Abdullah was the runner-up and was awarded the Top Excellence Award. The late Muhammad Rahman Louis was awarded the Excellence Award, unfortunately he passed away before he could receive the award. Nevertheless, the award was received by his spouse to celebrate his lifetime dedication towards Islamic studies.
The recipient of Best Student of KPIPK Intermediaries 2020 was Adam Lee Abdullah while Muhammad Asok Abdullah was awarded with Top Excellence Award and Junaida Yee Mee Kuan also awarded with Excellence Award.
Mohd Alif Nazir N. Chew Abdullah strives his way out and was awarded the Best Student of KPIPK Advanced 2020. The runner-up recipient was Muhammad Firdaus Abdullah. Last but not least, Muhammad Mahadi Aw received the Excellence Award.
For her active participation in class activities, Nur Aliya Pinggo received first place in Excellence Awards in Activities (Al-Quran Recital) while Mariam Glenda settles at second place and Siti Mariam Awat Abdullah won the third place.
Johan bagi Anugerah Aktiviti Cemerlang Laungan Azan diraih oleh Muhammad Syafiq Muhammad Rahman won first place in Adhan Recital while Muhammad Awsam Sadial Abdullah won second place and Ali Abdullah, third place.
Muhammad Amin Sim Abdullah won first place for Excellence Award in Activities – Islamic Knowledge Category. The runner-up was received by Mohd Ridhuan Guantoh Engkuan while Muhammad Asok Abdullah won the third place.
Recipients are each awarded with certificate, trophy and cash. This award ceremony in our initiative to celebrate our students for their never-ending efforts and dedication in learning about Islam. We hope they can keep up the good work and stay motivated no matter what the circumstances.
Di akhir majlis, YBhg Tan Sri SUA menyampaikan cenderahati kepada YBrs Ustaz Saiful Hafiz Vijia Abdullah dari Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (MAIWP) bagi mewakili penaja utama Kelas Pengajian Islam PERKIM Kebangsaan.
