KUALA LUMPUR, 13 JANUARY 2023 – Because of his strong believe in Islam, Casey Choong took syahadah this morning at Muslim Welfare Organisation Malaysia (PERKIM) Headquarters, Bangunan PERKIM, Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, Kuala Lumpur.
Casey Choong, 31 or his Muslim name, Casey Sulaiman Choong took syahadah led by PERKIM Officer, Mr. Sulaiman Ding Yu Zhong, with Tan Sri Dr Mohd Yusof Noor, Honorary Secretary General of PERKIM National and YB Dato’ Sri Hasan Arifin, Chairman of PERKIM Pahang Division present as witnesses.
Tan Sri Dr Mohd Yusof Noor had previously welcomed YB Dato’ Sri Hasan Arifin and his family to the ceremony.
Prior to this, Mr. Sulaiman Ding had explained about syahadah, pillars of Islam, pillars of Faith, basic Fardhu Ain, basic Halal and Haram in Islam and Muslim responsibilities which was joinly heard by members of YB Dato’ Hasan Arifin’s family. Mr. Sulaiman Ding also recommended Casey Sulaiman to attend PERKIM Islamic Studies Class (KPIPK) which is open daily in order to know more in Islam.
To know about Islam, Sulaiman Ding recommended Casey Sulaiman to attend the PERKIM Islamic Studies Class which is open daily.
“It is our responsibility to provide support and encouragement to Casey Sulaiman who is now our new Muslim revert,” Sulaiman Ding told the guests.
Casey Sulaiman is YB Hasan Arifin’s future son in-law and will soon marry his daughter, Shahida Hasan.

The ceremony was followed by lunch and photo session to commemorate the occasion.
